- Part of every project
Search "dentist Pineville NC" and a map with three listings appears above the websites. For many people, that short list is the whole decision.
That map pack is fed by Google Business Profiles. What decides the order is mostly the category you picked, whether every field is filled in and correct, the reviews you've collected and the searcher's distance from you. Distance is fixed. The rest is in your hands, and tidying a listing so it matches your website tends to pay off sooner than almost anything else an owner can do.
Your listing, your login
Roger doesn't ask for the keys. There's no request to join the profile as a manager or owner. You get the playbook in writing, open your listing while he walks through it with you by phone or screen share, and click every button yourself. When the session ends, nobody but you has access.
The eight-step playbook
01
Pick the primary category
It carries the most weight of anything on the listing. Close-but-wrong costs you searches.
02
Trim the extra categories
Only services you really offer, and only a few.
03
Match name, address and phone
Identical to your website, down to the suite number.
04
Set the service area
Real places you work, such as Pineville and the south Charlotte neighborhoods around it.
05
Write the services list
In the words customers use, each pointing to the matching page.
06
Plan the photos
Recent jobs, the storefront, the team. We note which shots are missing.
07
Build a review habit
A simple way to ask every happy customer, and a reply to each review.
08
Point the website link
Send people to the most useful page, not always the homepage.
Where it fits
Every website project includes a pass through the playbook, and monthly SEO clients go back to it on a schedule. If you'd like a look at your listing before anything else, ask for it on the quote form.
Listing queries
Query 01Do you need access to my Google listing?
No. We never ask for manager access to a client's listing. You keep full control, and we walk you through each change on a call or screen share.
Query 02How soon will changes show?
Fixing a wrong category or an old phone number can register within a few weeks. Gains from reviews and photos build up over months.
Query 03We don't have a storefront. Does this still apply?
Yes. A service-area business can hide its address and list the towns it covers instead.
Next entry
Put your website on the books for a free look.
Send the address, or say there isn't one yet. Roger opens it on his phone, tries the searches your customers try, and replies with the one change he'd make before any other.
